AMMENDMENT 1 The First Amendment to the United States Constitution is a cornerstone of American democracy. Freedom of the Press: Ensuring the media can operate independently and share information freely. Right to Assemble: Allowing people to gather peacefully for protests, demonstrations, or meetings. Right to Petition the Government: Enabling citizens to request changes or express grievances to the government. Adopted as part of the Bill of Rights in 1791, it remains a vital part of protecting individual liberties in the United States.
